Tonight we had an event to go to at Sofia's school. Before it started, they served pizza for everyone. As we were sitting and eating our pizza, Emerson noticed the other parents walking into the room. Suddenly he says, "Vincent's Mommy!" Well, Vincent was the little boy he spent the morning with today, because his mommy and I are trading one morning per week now. Then, our friends Kristen and Robert enter the room, and Emerson yells "Russell!" Russell is their son, who is 2 1/2. (Their daughter Jacqueline is at Valdez, and is a friend of Sofia's.) So, he now wants to head to the room where they have childcare while the parents are at this meeting. Once we get to the room where all the kids are, he sees Russell, then Vincent, then another friend, Joseph. Emerson looks at me like "boy, all my peeps are here!" It is so cool to see him so social! Sofia would have known all these people, but she never would have shown such excitement! Such different kids...
Another emmo-sim: Driving home, Emerson saw a motercycle, and said "cycle fast!" Then he said "Emmo fast!" He LOVES cars, trucks, vans, motorcycles, helicopters, airplanes, but mostly fire engines. He went to sleep with one the other night. We've since lost it, and he is heart-broken. But he still has his monster truck! :) This world of boy-dom just baffles me!
